If I could call Mr. Gudes anything, it would be Saviour. I say this because at a time where we were so grief stricken and confused but needed to bury my nephew ( my sister in law's son) unexpectedly; he saved the day. It was accommodating and very understanding. We didn't feel like we were just talking to some man at a funeral home; he felt like a friend, a good friend who was going to make sure we were happy with the results. There were times that he'd noticed that we had been crying right before we came in and he made a point of making us laugh or smile despite the circumstances. He made everything seem less stressful, he was professional, compassionate, empathetic, and very understanding. I could tell that God has sent us to him for a reason. If anyone finds themselves in a similar situation where they have to bury a loved one, with Gudes, you're in good hands. With much gratitude, Roshonda M.

I would recommend any family that will endure the heartache of a death of a love one to let Gudes funeral home handle the arrangements. They accommodated us in any and every way possible. And the process was less stressful than expected. The homegoing service for my son was respectful and honoring to his short life and was more beautiful than I expected. Gudes funeral home was referred by an eastern star sister. I had an unexpected death in my family and called them from the hospital to make the arrangements. They were professional, respectful and personal. I was able to come to their business and handle everything in a timely manner. They were able to communicate with me through every step of this difficult time. They treat you more like family than just a business transaction. I really appreciated their kindness. Mr. Gudes is an excellent example of someone who helps make a devastating situation into one that is filled with care & compassion. He truly helped make this very difficult and heartbreaking process into a more bearable one in order to deal with the death of my beloved father. He was very knowledgable,  caring, compassionate  always asking the right questions & even when I forgot some details he helped us through the process of it all. The way he did everything, the time he took to talk to us and the way he managed it all was very comforting. The time he arranged for me to be able to spend with my father was something I will never be able to repay, he knew exactly what I needed and went over and beyond to do it. All of it was amazingly done from the way he prepared my father to every detail of the ceremony, the safety measures during covid, the booklets, coffin, flower arrangements, music, timing, doves, my quilt and just everything was beautifully done. All everyone kept telling me is how it didn't even feel like a funeral but more of a peaceful & beautiful life celebration. Our family and friends fell in love with the whole setup & so did I, it is something we will always remember. After this experience I will always recommend Gudes Funeral Home to all my friends & family. This place more than a business is a true ministry, unlike the other funeral homes I saw, Gudes funeral home  really put our feelings and consideration of the difficult situation as priority. I am for ever grateful that God put then in our path in order to put our loved one to rest.

Mr. Gudes and Team truly are in the business for all the right reasons. My family and I recently lost a dearest loved one. We found ourselves in such a devastated position. The death of our loved one was unexpected and sadly— we did not plan ahead. This was our first funeral for an immediate family member. We wanted to do the best we could... The way Gudes heard my concerns and those of my family was so wonderful. He did more listening than talking. There is a lack of integrity, bad business, unprofessionalism and a lack of organization. Very disappointed. Unfortunately, the reverence for the sacredness of a loved one's death was over ruled by a predatory intent to manipulate. There are no packages to be offered, no checklists, or guidance. This company has a lot to learn. They must do better.
